Over the last couple months my photography has taken a back seat to pressing efforts to make sure Pennsylvania voted for truth and science. I could not have done my part without the help of this persuasive little dog and Blip Billboards.
A couple hours with students in Sacramento
I enjoyed talking with the advanced photo students at McClatchy HS in Sacramento today. It reminded me yet again of all the amazing work high school teachers everywhere are doing to keep everyone learning remotely! Thanks to Aimee Thibedau for inviting me.
Drone Photography Award
My photograph of this sports park in Aurora, Colorado won a commendation in the 2020 Siena International Photo Awards. It will be on view in Siena, Italy as part of “Above Us Only Sky” from October 24 through November 29.
EcoArtSpace Online Exhibition and Catalog
I’m excited that my 2019 photo of the Imperial Dam is included in the ecoartspace fall 2020 online+billboards show, “ecoconsciousness” juried by Eleanor Heartney. It’s a great group of artists, and the catalog looks like it will be beautiful as well.
“Welcome Home” Featured on Burning Man’s Instagram Feed
Today, Burning Man featured “Welcome Home” – my project documenting the back roads of Black Rock City – on their Instagram feed. It’s an honor to be able to share this work with the larger Burning Man community for the first time.
In Relation to the Land
My image, “Anaheim, California” is included in the current exhibition, In Relation To The Land, at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins. This landscape is one of many from my growing Synthetic Truths series, which explores artificial places and spaces.
First Visit to Batuu
