June 2, 2021

After more than a year of staying close to home, it was terrific to get back to photographing in the Southwest. I’ve been traveling around Arizona and neighboring Nevada, as well as bits of California and Utah. While I was there, Lake Mead dropped to its lowest level on record, which seemed poetic, as I ...Read More

Whatever it takes!

November 12, 2020

Over the last couple months my photography has taken a back seat to pressing efforts to make sure Pennsylvania voted for truth and science. I could not have done my part without the help of this persuasive little dog and Blip Billboards.

A couple hours with students in Sacramento

October 8, 2020

I enjoyed talking with the advanced photo students at McClatchy HS in Sacramento today. It reminded me yet again of all the amazing work high school teachers everywhere are doing to keep everyone learning remotely! Thanks to Aimee Thibedau for inviting me.

First Visit to Batuu

June 10, 2019

Anaheim, California

Black Spire Outpost – the new Galaxy’s Edge area of Disneyland – is hands down the most comprehensive and fully immersive “land” I’ve ever experienced at a theme park – or really in any “designed” space. After four hours there last Friday, walking back to Frontierland felt like returning to the “normal world”. The craftsmanship ...Read More

Thanks to Bill Fox, this week I’m at the Center for Art + Environment, doing some research for future projects. Also, it’s a ...Read More
